  EVENT DESCRIPTION:

  Group coaching is on the rise and with growing demand comes the opportunity to lead with impact. Whether you're just starting or looking to sharpen your skills, this insights-packed session with Dominique will give you the confidence and tools to grow your group coaching practice with intention and clarity. In this interactive session, you will:

  • Define key terms and clearly distinguish group coaching from other group modalities.
  • Explore the DOLIX Model™, a practical framework that maps the elements of cohesive coaching groups with a special emphasis on trust.
  • Apply a simple group coaching session structure.
  • Reflect on the content in small breakouts and have space to ask questions to deepen your understanding.

  Whether you're designing your first group or evolving an existing offer, this session will help you differentiate your coaching and create meaningful impact, together.

  • Co-create psychological safety with their coaching groups and remain in coaching vs. teaching / facilitating mindset

  SPEAKER BIO:

  Dominique is the CEO at Group Coaching HQ, an ICF-accredited trainer that equips organizations and coaches with the expertise and support to lead the future of coaching: impactful, scalable group coaching programs. Dominique has built group coaching programs for Fortune 500 companies and trained over 250 coaches in the art of group coaching. As a consultant for organizations scaling their group coaching programs, she supports them to amplify their coaching culture. 

  She holds a M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Change, is an ICF PCC, Certified Mentor Coach, Certified Systemic Team Coach, Hogan Assessments Certified Coach and certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Facilitator and Coach. 

  A surfer and adventurer, and she lives a peaceful life in Brooklyn, NY with her partner, the artist Swissipino and Professor the awesome dog.

  Embodied Neuroscience generally, and mBraining (the mBIT Road Map) specifically, facilitates the client and coach to arrive quickly, deeply, and effectively to the heart of the coaching topic, while engaging the clients most profound intuition, insights and solutions. By connecting clients to multiple forms of innate wisdom, mBIT coaching empowers them to access more authentic choices, overcome internal conflict, and create meaningful, embodied change.

  mBraining—also known as Multiple Brain Integration Techniques (mBIT)—is a coaching methodology grounded in the understanding that human intelligence is not located solely in the head. Instead, current neuroscience suggests we possess complex neural networks in the brain, heart, and gut, each with its own forms of processing, memory, and decision-making capabilities. mBraining proposes that these three “brains” have distinct yet complementary roles Effective coaching, therefore, can be significantly enhanced when all three intelligence centers are aligned and engaged.

  mBIT coaching offers a structured framework for helping clients recognize and tap into this multi-layered intelligence. Through a combination of guided breathing, embodied awareness practices, and specific conversational protocols, mBIT supports clients in shifting from reactive patterns to resourceful ways of thinking, feeling, and acting.

  One of the strengths of mBraining is its emphasis on coherence—the harmonious alignment of the head, heart, and gut. When these centers are working in synergy, clients often report greater clarity, deeper self-connection, and more sustainable decision-making. The methodology is particularly valuable in areas such as leadership development, emotional regulation, creativity, relational intelligence, and navigating personal or professional transitions.

  Laura Masters B.Ed, PCC, mBIT MC and Trainer, ICF Level 1 Trainer
  Laura Masters is a neuroscience-informed coach and accredited teacher who draws on her scientific background in learning to amplify and deepen personal and professional growth. As a PCC Coach, mBIT Master Coach, and Coach Trainer, she leads an accredited ICF Level 1 Training program that combines ICF competencies with mBraining methodologies, equipping coaches with practical, science-backed tools they may use with confidence. Known for being naturally supportive as well as her grounded presence and safety, Laura inspires individuals, families and kids to elevate performance, strengthen leadership skills, and create aligned, fulfilling success in work and life. Laura is co-owner of Abundance Enterprise.

  Coaches & Coffee is a casual, come-as-you-are gathering for members of the ICF Greater Austin Chapter. The goal is simple: get to know one another—swap stories, make real connections, and strengthen our coaching community in a relaxed, informal setting.

  We’re hosting four meetups on the same morning, so you can choose the location that’s most convenient for you. You can choose from options in San Marcos, Saddle Creek, East Austin, or Cedar Park.

  After you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email. This will include a link to choose your preferred location (with specific address). This will also have the phone number of the host leading that meetup.

• Learning for Wisdom: How the Brain Builds Insight for Better Decisions

  We often think of memory as a mental filing cabinet, our ability to recall the people, places, and events that shaped us. But modern neuroscience tells a far more exciting story. Human memory is not just a record of the past; it is a powerful, constructive system that continuously extracts meaning from our experiences. Our brains identify patterns, connect ideas across time, and build deeper knowledge that we rely on to make sense of the world.

  In other words, memory is the engine of wisdom.

  Rather than simply replaying what we have seen or done, our brains weave together information from many moments to help us anticipate, plan, and choose well. This ability to generalize—to learn what tends to work, what doesn’t, and why—is what allows people to grow beyond their histories and make future decisions that are more flexible, creative, and aligned with their goals.

  In this talk, I will explore the brain mechanisms that allow us to transform experience into wisdom, highlighting discoveries from cognitive neuroscience that illuminate how we learn, adapt, and thrive. I’ll also discuss how these mechanisms shift across the human lifespan, from the exploratory learning of youth to the integrative strengths of adulthood and the reflective capacities that often deepen with age.

  Attendees will leave with a richer understanding of how the brain supports insight, how clients can harness constructive learning for better decision-making, and why fostering wisdom is not only possible, but grounded in how the mind is built.

  About the speakers:

  Alison Preston is a neuroscientist and academic leader whose work focuses on how people learn, remember, and make meaning across their lives. Most recently, she served as the inaugural Vice Provost for Faculty Development at The University of Texas at Austin, where she led campus-wide efforts to support faculty growth, mentorship, and leadership development. In this role, she partnered with teams across the university to strengthen the culture of professional flourishing for faculty at all career stages.

  Dr. Preston joined UT Austin in 2007 after completing her graduate and postdoctoral training at Stanford University. She is the Dr. A. Wilson Nolle and Sir Raghunath P. Mahendroo Professor in Neuroscience and holds appointments in Neuroscience, Psychology, and Psychiatry in the Dell Medical School. She is also affiliated with several interdisciplinary research centers focused on learning, memory, and brain science.

  As a researcher, Dr. Preston studies how the brain builds knowledge—from childhood through older adulthood—and how these processes shape memory, reasoning, creativity, and decision-making. Her work uses brain imaging and computational approaches to understand how changes in brain systems across the lifespan influence how we learn and apply what we know. Her research bridges neuroscience, psychology, and education, and has been recognized with multiple career awards, including honors from the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense, and the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation.

  In addition to her recent role as Vice Provost, Dr. Preston has held several leadership positions at UT Austin, including Director of the Biomedical Imaging Center, Director of an NIH Institutional Training Grant for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and Interim Vice President for Research.
