NEIL EDWARDS, PCC 1.5 ICF CCEs Thursday, November 10th from 12-1:30pm EST ICF Caribbean Chapter'

Coaching across racial, ethnic, cultural, and other differences where power, rank, and privilege are present can leave coaches in a riptide of confusion, discomfort, or fear that disrupts their ability skillfully deliver coaching. We are living in a world where working across and with differences is essential to great coaching practice.

Coaches have an amazing opportunity now more than ever to expand their range, capability, and capacity to enter what could be some of the most polarizing conversations in society. With the right tools, coaches can design connected relationships with clients no matter what differences may exist between them.

Learning Objectives:

To recognize the scope of differences that may impact the dynamics of the coaching relationship with special emphasis on differences to in power, rank, and privilege that may be overlooked or avoided.

Recognize allyship as a relationship that coaches can cultivate in coaching relationships where there may be differences in power, rank, and privilege at play.

Apply allyship to design conversations in coaching relationships.
