About Our Chapter

Established by a small group of Professional Coaches in Austin who began meeting in 1999, ICF Greater Austin Chapter was formally chartered in 2013 by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). ICF is the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the art, science, and ethical practice of professional coaching.

Our Chapter serves Coaches throughout Greater Austin and Central Texas while connecting our local community to a worldwide network of Coaching professionals and associated resources.

For coaches

We provide continuing opportunities for professional education, mentorship, community building that supports coaches at every stage — from those exploring the profession or pursuing their first credential to experienced practitioners in established practices.

Through in-person gatherings, virtual programming, peer learning, community partnership initiatives, outreach projects, and collaboration, we create opportunities for coaches to deepen their skills, strengthen their practices, and build meaningful professional relationships.

For organizations and leaders

We help businesses, nonprofits, and individuals find professional coaches with confidence. Coaching is an unregulated profession, making it difficult to know what distinguishes a qualified professional coach.

An ICF credential represents verified training and coaching experience, demonstrated competency against established professional standards, ongoing development, and accountability to a global Code of Ethics.
