CCEU:
1.0 Core Competency
0.5 Resource Development Competency
This virtual program will show participants how to use arts-based experiential learning as a powerful coaching methodology. No art experience is necessary. In fact, the more terrible you think you are at “art” the more powerful the experience. Please have handy 3 blank sheets of paper, 1 pencil and 1 eraser for the program.
The program will introduce participants to the theory and science behind arts-based experiential learning (ABEL). We will engage participants directly in arts-based experiences as we explore different “seeing” strategies employed by the great artists to make their artistic breakthroughs and which coaches can use to help clients uncover opportunities in their lives and organizations. We will examine an actual use case within a Fortune 500 company as a way to demonstrate the what, how and outcomes of selective coaching relationships.
Participants will also learn about an innovative assessment instrument that directly and objective measures the impact of ABEL on individuals and teams.
Participants will walk away with:
• An understanding of the theory and science behind ABEL
• Practical examples of arts-based experiential exercises immediately implementable by participants
• Research based data which demonstrates the impact of ABEL on individuals and teams
