CCEUs: 1.5 Core Competency
The new Mindset Competency #2 reminds us that we must transform ourselves first. We will explore & celebrate the active development of a Coaching Mindset. This session will provide a foundational understanding of the Mindset competency and stress the importance of focusing / developing the Who of the coach. In the mind of a coach is the essence of an explorer. Innate curiosity leads us on adventures into the unknown, sparking the flames of genuine interest for our clients, their lives and cultures. Through our inherent willingness to lean into vulnerability, we hone our intuition and learn to trust in it. We are life-long learners who are brave enough to examine and reflect on our own inner lives and seek outside resources when necessary. As coaches, we are naturally curious, flexible, open and client-centered. ICF thought all of these amazing attributes should be listed in the updated Core Competencies.
