The ICF Greater Austin Charter Chapter Board of Directors provides leadership to the organization and shapes our ICF Austin community to continue to build connections, develop partnership, and serve members. Board service is an opportunity for those who are passionate about coaching and about our community to contribute to the organization.
Qualifications for Board Service
To volunteer for Board service, candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
Board Terms
The President, President-Elect and Past President will each serve a one-year term for a total of 3 years.
All other Board positions serve a two-year term .
Board members are elected in the fall, and terms start on January 1st.
Board Member Expectations
Board members are expected to participate actively in monthly Board meetings, semi-annual planning retreats, and other Board meetings as determined by the Board.
We encourage potential candidates to review the specific ways each Board role contributes to the organization.
Board Nomination Process
Board nominations open in the fall for any roles that are due to be filled starting January 1 of the following year.
Typically, candidates self-nominate using this form. After nominations close, the Nominating Committee will contact nominees regarding next steps. Elections are held before the end of the calendar year.
