Wholehearted Living - And The Obstacles That Get In Our Way

An Interactive Workshop on Brene Brown’s Daring WayTM

Model

Shame.  Vulnerability.  Authenticity.  Little words packed full of meaning and relevance.  Shame is something that many of us, and many of our clients, try desperately to avoid.  What do these attempts at avoidance look like?  How do they affect our sense of self?  Our ability to engage in meaningful relationships?  Our overall well-being?  What could life look like if we let our guard down and learned to truly “Show Up, Be Seen, and Live Brave?”

These topics and more are addressed within the invigorating and healing structure of Brene Brown’s Daring WayTM model.  Brene’s work puts a framework around a truth that is so deeply rooted within the human experience that we can’t help but perk up our ears and open up our hearts – we re-learn our truth within a model that provides clarity and hope when we engage in the Daring Way.  This work shows us how to help our clients, our colleagues, and ourselves forge meaningful personal paths paved with authenticity, empathy, and self-compassion.

In this session you will learn:

  • The differences between shame, guilt, embarrassment, and humiliation
  • Four key myths of vulnerability
  • An overview of the Daring Way training & certification process
  • Experiential exposure to key Daring WayTM concepts

You will leave with an understanding of what the Daring WayTM training process entails, a basic overview of topics covered in the curriculum, and new tools and language around concepts of shame and vulnerability to assist in your work with clients.
